About

Backend Engineer specialized in Azure and .NET, with experience in cloud development and scalable system architecture.

I'm a backend engineer specialized in building cloud systems with Azure and .NET. My work focuses on creating architectures that scale, APIs that perform under load, and code that remains maintainable over time. I primarily work with Azure Functions, ASP.NET Core, and cloud services, designing solutions that balance performance, maintainability, and operational cost.

At The Bubble Hub I work on backend systems that support mobile applications in production. My responsibility spans from analyzing requirements to designing and implementing business logic, defining API contracts, and integrating with external services. I solve problems ranging from optimizing ranking algorithms and data structures to designing secure authentication flows and managing Apple and Google subscription systems that directly impact user experience. I've developed serverless functions, designed optimized database schemas, and built CI/CD pipelines. This exposure to production systems has taught me to think in terms of scalability from design and to consider the impact of each technical decision. I've evolved from writing code that works to designing systems that scale, from solving individual problems to thinking about complete architectures.

Before this, at Ernst & Young I worked in the SOC as a technology and security consultant, specialized in SIEM engineering. There I learned to think about large-scale systems from the perspective of observability, reliability, and security. I led SIEM platform migrations and developed detection rules that processed millions of daily events. This experience gave me a deep understanding of how distributed systems work under real load and how to design robust data pipelines. I learned that observability is not optional: when a system processes millions of events, you need metrics, logs, and traces to understand what's happening. This security experience gave me a mindset I constantly apply: thinking about how a system can fail, how it can be attacked, and how it can degrade gracefully. This perspective has been fundamental in my evolution as a backend engineer.

My Software Engineering degree provided me with a solid foundation in computing fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and system design. This theoretical foundation applies constantly: when I optimize algorithms, I apply computational complexity knowledge; when I design data structures, I understand the implications of each choice; when I make architectural decisions, I have foundations to evaluate trade-offs. During my studies I developed real projects, such as a web platform for smart meter management, which taught me to translate real-world requirements into software architectures and to think about complete systems, not just code. I complemented this technical education with a Master's in Secondary Education, which provided me with communication and knowledge structuring skills that I apply when documenting systems and explaining technical decisions. This combination allows me to design technically sound systems and communicate why those decisions make sense. My approach to learning is continuous: I study systems in production, experiment with new approaches, and seek to understand not just how to do something, but why one solution is better than another in a given context.
